Overview
The Sabadell City Council, through its Local Police, entrusted Imaginae with the development of an emergency mobile application, aimed at improving direct communication between citizens and police services.
The application allows users to send emergency alerts and share information. data-end=”1703″>user geolocation and receive informational and incident notifications in real time, reinforcing the response capacity to risk or emergency situations.
Development and implemented solutions
iOS and Android mobile app
App development using Ionic Framework on Apache Cordova, allowing a single development process compatible with both operating systems.
Integration with Java web services
Direct connection to the central police systems via Java web services, ensuring immediate receipt of alerts and correct data transmission.
Geolocation and emergency alert sending
The application allows the user to:
- Send emergency alerts or calls to the police
- Share their GPS location automatically in case of emergency
Push notification system
Implementation of a push notice system to communicate:
- Relevant incidents
- Security Alerts
- Preventive information for citizens
Access to device features
Using the Ionic Framework APIs to access the following in a controlled manner:
- GPS
- Camera allowing for enriched information sent in emergency situations.
Resident Native Widget
Development of a native background widget, which allows the periodic sending of geolocation information to the cloud for users who require it (for example, vulnerable groups or specific situations).
Design and usability adapted to the police environment
The UX/UI design was developed by Imaginae, taking as a reference the original native application of the police, improving usability and maintaining visual and functional consistency with existing systems.
